  1. How we helped:

A large pharmaceutical company in Dublin faced a unique challenge: accommodating multiple construction teams on-site while expanding their main building. With hundreds of on-site staff, including general operatives, quantity surveyors, project managers, and construction workers, they needed high-quality temporary facilities that would meet everyone’s needs without disrupting the company’s daily operations. To achieve this, they turned to Portakabin to create a purpose-built village for contractors to work, meet, and recharge during the lengthy construction period.

Portakabin collaborated with the client to design a layout that made the best use of the available space while ensuring functionality and comfort for all users. The solution involved the phased delivery and installation of flexible, high-quality Konstructa modular site accommodation. The completed village included multiple canteens, changing rooms, and toilet facilities, along with office and meeting spaces designed to support the productivity of on-site teams.

Portakabin’s one-stop-shop approach ensured that every detail was covered. The buildings were fully equipped with furniture, white goods, emergency lighting, PIR sensors, energy-efficient heaters, and essential fire safety features like alarms and extinguishers. This seamless delivery provided a complete, ready-to-use solution that allowed contractors to focus on the project at hand.

Portakabin meet with us on site, and we were very impressed with the flexibility of their offering. After careful planning and consideration, Portakabin designed a triple stacked layout to cater for the needs of several contractors we have working on site. The quality of the buildings is excellent, and we were really happy with the turnaround time and finished product.
